Water Monitoring Testing
Percent Saturation
To test for Percent Saturation, you just need the results from your previous two testsTemperature and Dissolved Oxygenand the instruction booklet from your test kit.
What You'll Need:
- Recorded results from Temperature and Dissolved Oxygen tests.
- Protective gloves.
- Instruction booklet from your test kit.
Percent Saturation Test Procedure:
- Compare the temperature of your water sample with the table on page 13 of the booklet from your kit.
- Then, compare the Dissolved Oxygen result of your water sample with the ones found in the table on page 13.
- Compare the color of the sample to the Dissolved Oxygen color chart from your kit.
- The percent saturation is where the temperature row and the Dissolved Oxygen column intersect. For example: if your water sample temperature is 16° C and the Dissolved Oxygen result is 4 ppm (ppm is equivalent to mg/L), you will see that the intersecting number is 41. So, the percent Saturation of your sample would be 41. This would be the number you record on your data sheet.

Locating percent saturation by intersecting the temperature results with the dissolved oxygen results on table found on page 13 of the instruction booklet.
